Cool Runnings Franklin County held it's first ever "Cool Runnings" educational program in May of 2001. Cool Runnings is a program developed by TVA and the Franklin Co. SWCD to teach high school students about water quality. The program administers education to students from 7th through 12th grade. The students learn about water chemistry, aquatic species and watershed conservation. The students get "Hands On" chemical and biotic assessment experience. The program was a big success and will be an extremely useful tool for future educational outreach.
